We will have three interactive class sessions in April. For these sessions we will use a web conferencing application called Elluminate. This program allows you to interact with our class online in real time. You will be able to listen, talk, text, and if a presenter is using PowerPoint, will be able to see them. Below you will find information about our presenters as well as instructions to help you navigate the technical aspects of our virtual class sessions.

Getting Started with the Virtual Sessions

  • The links (above) to each virtual class session will direct you to an Elluminate log-in page. Please enter your name and you will be directed to the session
  • Depending on your browser, you may be prompted to update, run or open a "Java Script" plug-in which allows you to use Elluminate
  • Once you enter our virtual classroom follow the simple audio set-up instructions
  • Before your first session, please complete Elluminate's orientation and brief system check (est. completion time: 5-10 minutes)
  • If you plan to type your questions and comments during a class session, you can listen to the audio via computer speakers or standard headphones (almost any brand/quality level will do). If you want to ask questions via voice-over IP, you will need to acquire a headset that features a built-in microphone, preferably with a USB port (product recommendation: Logitech Clear Chat)
  • Please click on one of the session links above approximately 30 minutes before the 9am session begins so we may assist you with any technical difficulties that arise.
